Year Six enjoyed a performance of Macbeth at The Plough Arts in Torrington.
We are learning the viola in class. So far we have learned what the strings are called (C,G,D,A), learned how to hold the instrument and pluck on the open strings. We have started to learn how to hold the bow too:there is lots to remember!
We have been learning about the ancient Egyptian gods. Did you know that the ancient Egyptians had over two thousand gods?
We had a great time at the Apple Store in Exeter learning more about coding using an app called ‘Tinker’ on the iPads and then using the iPads to control a robotic ball, ‘Sphero’. What fun it was!
We had a fantastic time learning more about ancient Egypt at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter. We took part in three workshops: mummification, scribe school and senet (an ancient Egyptian game that is lots much fun to play). We also had a tour of the museum with a focus on the ancient Egyptian artefacts.
We enjoyed improving our hockey skills and having the opportunity to play on a large astroturf at Park School.
We concentrated on using different brushes to create different strokes, using water effectively with the paints and using shade to create a 3D effect.
