Devon Winter Games hockey final

Posted in Inspiration, Sport

We travelled to Torbay to take part in the Devon Winter Games. The opening ceremony had Matti Hemmings, a pro BMXer-his tricks were amazing!

We played some fantastic hockey matches, winning four, drawing one and losing one. We missed out on getting in to the semi-finals by a few points. It was a fantastic day-find out more by reading our comments.

Go Goodleigh!

Here are some photographs taken by a professional photographer on the day:

North Devon Hockey Tournament

We entered three teams in to the hockey tournament. The C team battled hard, winning two out of their four matches and scoring an impressive twelve points. The B team faced some challenging teams and put up a fantastic defence, not letting many goals in and the A team won all of their matches, getting through to the final. We played Shirwell A in the final and it was a well matched game with us nearly scoring a few times and defending really well. Just before the end of the match Shirwell scored and won the tournament, making us runners up. We are really looking forward to representing North Devon alongside Shirwell in the Devon Winter Games in March.
